This weeks library read: A Seed is Sleepy

Spring is coming...Sleet and rain might recently be all over New York City but Spring is coming, Sun Shine ON, or at least that's our mindset! At the library yesterday we read A Seed is Sleepy by Dianna Hutts Aston and illustrated by Sylvia Long, it's a perfect read to share with your little one as Spring arrives.  The book shares seeds of all types, some I never even heard of like the Texas Barberry and the Hamburger Bean and the descriptions bring out the personality of the book, including how and why a seed is sleepy, secretive and important, etc., read so beautifully, almost like a poem.

The book is very detailed, you might not at first think this is something you'd read to a baby but you can skim it down by just sharing the type of seeds and colors with your baby and what type of seed it is, later the book will grow with your baby and the information will become inspirational as a source book for daily adventures in the backyard or at the park.

Grab the moment, our babies grow fast. Treasure it now, each little snuggle.
